A LIGHTER, UNTHREADED ALTERNATIVE TO RMC

Choose this pre-galvanized EMT when the installation calls for classification 4422 and an unthreaded metric conduit system rather than heavy-wall, threaded RMC. With 1.00–1.40 mm walls across the range, it uses less steel and has a lower piece weight than the corresponding RMC sizes, reducing the load that installers and logistics teams need to handle.

Straight runs are completed with matching EMT connectors and couplings, so conduit ends do not need to be threaded in the field. Select Hot-Dip Galvanized RMC instead when the project specification requires classification 5577, a heavier wall, threaded connections or a hot-dip galvanized finish.

Classification 4422 identifies the specified performance class for this pre-galvanized EMT range.
